Not that the enjoyment the readers get don't make my heart swell, LOL Little does she know that she will bump into him again not long after this chance encounter and that their path to true myhe will begin a journey along a rocky route. If you are a fan of love and redemption, this is a good read for you. It's definitely one that's on my radar despite the fact that I usually avoid romance books. Edward's past has come back to haunt both of them as Gladys is enmeshed in the loss of several million shares kyne the Bestman Group.

A Heart to Mend

Sweet tale of Romance set in boisterous Lagos Nigeria, an unlikely city for love. This comes into conflict with Gladys's high moral code. Do we accept the problems that kept them apart? I must admit I did get lost in the details of the finance industry at the beginning but once I got past that, it was smooth sailing mehd I came to understand towards the end of the book why those earlier details were somewhat necessary.

Having never read a romance novel I have nothing to compare it with, but I do feel like their relationship was written very realistically. I was intrigued by the insight into modern Lagos and life for a young educated woman in urban Nigeria. Edward's past has come back to haunt both of them as Gladys is enmeshed in the loss of several million shares of the Bestman Group.

All writers have whifman persevere, have a story they want to share and push till it's in a form others can understand and appreciate.

This is the first romance novel set in Nigeria that I have read. I would recommend this to readers as a little different to normal love stories.

She was born and raised in Enugu, Nigeria, where she spent most of her time, studying, reading and daydreaming or climbing trees and playing with the boys. But there's not much difference really, which just proves that love is really universal. That said, this story was not without problems.

NAO, the Africa mynr TV is the narrative of those who wants to further loot through the commercialisation of poverty. I had no clue that it was a city of about 15 million people - bigger than Los Angeles. Ice does not give his heart to anyone - he's had a bad past and doesn't trust anyone with his heart - but his attraction to Gladys makes him want to be around her, and have her. A Heart to Mend, by Myne Whitman proved to be an intriguing read, especially with that of the ti conflict.
